Our holiday home is situated in the quiet and small
hamlet of La Reorthe, a rural location
near the small
town of Sainte-Hermine, just a few minutes north of Junction 7 off
the A83. |
This beautiful region of France claims a sunshine record
similar to that of the South of France; long hot summers and
mild winters
although of course this cannot be guaranteed. |
The surrounding area offers lakes, woods
and stunning
scenery, a must for walkers, cyclists, bird watchers and
lovers of the countryside.
You will always be less than 45 minutes away from the
Vendee coast where there are many clean sandy
beaches.
The Vendee coast with towns such as La Sables d'Olonne,
la Tranche, la Rochelle and the beautiful island of I'le de Re
are all less than 1 hours drive away from the house.
Also nearby is the Grand Parc, Puy Du Fou, France's 2nd most
popular tourist attraction - Not to be missed, as well as
Futurescope, Parthenay and the beautiful Mervant Forest.

The charming town of Chantonnay is about a 10
minute drive away and offers supermarkets,
banks, restaurants
etc,
and for the more serious shopper, La Rochelle is less than an hours
drive away.New for 2008 season WIFI access at no
extra cost.
The
house is situated in some lovely gardens.
